Action-packed day from the get-go! I headed out with the crew for a 4-hour morning fishing trip in Miami with Reel'n Tails Charters. We set off from 1050 MacArthur Causeway as the sun was rising, ready to make the most of our time on the water. The weather was a mix of partly cloudy skies with some rain in the forecast, but that wasn't going to dampen our spirits. Our goal was to get in on some mahi action, which can be a challenge in such a short window, but we were up for it. The crew was pumped as we motored out, and I was determined to put them on some fish with Reel'n Tails Charters.

With our gear rigged and ready, we got down to business. I decided to mix it up with a combination of live bait fishing, bottom fishing, and casting jigs to cover our bases. These techniques are perfect for the inshore waters we were fishing, giving us the best shot at hooking into some mahi. The partly cloudy skies actually worked in our favor, providing some cover without completely blocking the sun. The crew did an awesome job working together to bring it in. We kept at it, hoping for more action, and while we didn't land any more mahi, every cast was a chance at another hookup. We wrapped up our 4 hours on the water with smiles all around, having accomplished our goal of getting in on some mahi action despite the time constraint.
